    Crying. Sobbing. Sollux could barely catch his breath between all the tears. He was surprised he could even cry without eyes. But he was sure if anyone could see him, they'd have thought the Gemini actually had bawled his eyes out. He wished he could imagine the looks on their faces, but he'd been blind for so long that he'd just...forgotten. That's why he was crying so hard. The yellowblood didn't want to forget. He wanted to remember what Karkat looked like when he smiled, thinking no one was looking. He wanted to remember what color Kanaya's skirt was, or whether Terezi's glasses were round or not. He just wanted to remember his friends.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Karkat walked with his head down, hands shoved deep in his pockets. Vriska...the spider bitch had called him a freak. A mutantblooded freak who deserved to be culled for what he was. Terezi had been there, and so had Nepeta, but they didn't do anything, too shocked at what had come out of Vriska's mouth. He thought his friends would support him after he told them what he was...the Cancer had been so optimistic. But that didn't matter anymore, all he could think of was the glaring flaw that no one would ever get past - the candy red blood that flowed beneath his skin.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    A young sea prince sat in his respiteblock, looking out over the ocean with a frown. The Aquarius had come to realize that he'd never be good enough. Never good enough to have a moirail, have a matesprit, even just have a friend. He was so alone...and no one seemed to care. Sure, he was an ass to the others when they came around, but that was because if he wasn't, then they'd think he was weak. And he acted desperate, but that's because well...he was. Everyone had someone there for them, even Kar. But him...his name was Eridan Ampora, and he was truly and utterly alone.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Brown...Blue...Olive...Jade...no wonder the others tended to avoid him now. If he wasn't high, the Capricorn had a horrible tendency to actually paint the walls with blood. But none of them saw the method to his madness...hell, what was he saying, he could hardly see it himself. Gamzee let out a sigh, forcing a grin onto his face. He was a motherfucking clown and he was supposed to be happy. There was no reason to be sad. Or so he told himself as he reached for yet another Sopor pie. With a small twinge of fright, he noticed it was his last one.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    These four lonely trolls, so immersed in their individual sadnesses, crossed paths one day. Words were exchanged, and grievances voiced in quiet whispers. Silence fell between them, and then...they began to heal. Gamzee wrapped an arm around Sollux, beginning to slowly and intimately detail each and everyone of their friends, along with whatever else Sollux asked him about. Karkat begrudgingly sat with the two of them, yanking Eridan down to sit at his side. No way was he letting the nooksniffing hipster wander off by himself. Sollux nudged Karkat with his foot, a silent gesture of support to the mutantblood. He had other things to look for, than just blood color. Eridan, before they left, offered to walk home with Gamzee, and the taller troll happily agreed. For once, his shit eating grin wasn't fake. He even got the purpleblood to indulge in a few jokes with him. And the four of them realized that they were never alone. and just like that....

They were Kings again.

Inspired by the song King, by Lauren Aquilina
It gave me some major Homestuck feels, after a friend of mine showed it to me.
And this was born.
